Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Kedar Joshi, the individual developer of DopCasts ("we", "us"). By using DopCasts you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
Who can use DopCasts
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent or guardian's permission. DopCasts is free and available in the countries where we distribute it through the app stores.
Your account
You sign in with Apple or Google. Keep that account secure, and tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else is using your DopCasts account. You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Account.
Using DopCasts
Use DopCasts lawfully and respect the rights of podcast creators and other people. Don't:
- get around security, usage limits or access controls;
- use someone else's account;
- scrape, copy or redistribute podcasts or content from the app at scale;
- submit unlawful or abusive content, or try to make the AI produce it;
- interfere with the service or try to obtain credentials or other people's data.
We may limit, suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk.
Podcasts and other content
Podcasts, artwork and other third-party material belong to their owners. DopCasts lets you listen to them; it doesn't give you ownership or the right to redistribute them. Episodes and shows can become unavailable if a publisher or provider removes them. Links to other services are governed by those services' own terms.
If you own rights in a podcast and have a concern about how it appears in DopCasts, see Support.
AI-generated content
Episode insights, key moments, summaries and answers in DopCasts are generated by AI. They can be incomplete, out of context or wrong. Check important claims against the episode and other reliable sources. Nothing in DopCasts is medical, legal, financial or other professional advice. You can report an AI answer in the app or email us.
The service is provided "as is"
DopCasts is provided free, "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free or accurate, or fit for a particular purpose. We may change, pause or discontinue any part of DopCasts at any time.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or opportunities, arising from your use of DopCasts or reliance on its content. Our total liability for any claim relating to DopCasts is limited to US$50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under law that can't be waived.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Washington, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
Apple App Store
If you got DopCasts from the Apple App Store, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for any claims relating to the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Your use must also follow the App Store's terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as DopCasts changes. We'll update the effective date above, and give notice in the app or by email before a significant change takes effect. If you keep using DopCasts after a change, you accept the updated terms.
